The School of Illustration is led by Nick Moffatt, a freelance illustrator with over 25 years of industry experience.
Nick has worked with for a wide range of clients creating work across film, television, animation, children’s publishing, comics and more. Nick believes that all good illustration begins with a creative mindset and way of thinking which is what has led to him working on projects for clients including the ones below.
Through The School of Illustration, Nick supports your creativity by developing both the mindset and practical tools needed to build a career from your work. As well as being an industry professional he's also a fully qualified educator, with years of experience teaching within higher education. Lecturing at a range of Institutions at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level he's created and delivered modules on courses including comics, graphic novels, concept art, graphic design, costume design and (of course) illustration. Passionate about providing high quality, professionally informed learning through courses, talks and workshops, the School is committed to providing an accessible and flexible way for you to achieve both your creative and career aspirations .
The School of Illustration is a creative community for illustrators based in the city of Lincoln and beyond. We know from experience how lonely the freelance life can be, so we’re thrilled to be able to create a space where illustrators can connect in a friendly, relaxed environment.
